We are excited to share over a $1,000,000 in 2023 capital expenses and improvements. Our goal is to ensure that our campground remains a cherished place of rest and relaxation, reinforce our legacy, and usher in the next 20 years of late-night talks, warm campfires, bicycle races, family picnics and fond memories. We understand that our continued success is directly related to the happiness of our campers, the state of our facilities, and the quality of our amenities. That is why we have invested in the following amenities/upgrades for this season:
Danforth Bay Pool Project: Most of you will recall we used to have 1 leisure pool and a small kiddy pool (both were chlorine) in the area that is currently under construction. Our new saltwater pool will be zero entry and will host water features which are sure to keep your children and grandchildren busy all day. Water features will include a mushroom that spouts water, a slide (for those 6 and under) and a bucket that once filled with water will dump on anyone standing underneath it. Our new pool is scheduled to open in early July.
6-Passenger Golf Carts: We have added (5) 6 – passenger golf carts to our rental fleet! All of our golf carts may be rented by any of our registered campers who are at least 21 years of age and have a valid driver’s license. Additional rules may apply. Inquire at the Office.
Grand Stand: Last year we started the demolition of the old Pavilion. When you look at our new visitors guide, you will notice that in the old Pavilion’s place there is a Grand Stand. We fenced in a lawn area so all of our guests can sit in chairs or on blankets to watch the live entertainment. Golf carts can be parked just outside of the fence. We refurbished the old pavilion stage and our on staff carpenters are in the process of building post and beam trusses to make the area complete.
Speed Bumps: We have heard your request! In addition to the speed bumps that we typically put out by Memorial Day Weekend, we will be purchasing additional speed bumps to apply in the high traffic areas.
